Free £15 Northern Trains credit

Northern Trains has launched a pay-as-you-go option as part of a trial, where their app will track your train journeys in real-time and automatically charge you at the end of the day (no ticket required, just check in and out with your phone). If you take part in the trial, you can grab £15 in free credit when you sign up.

What you should know:

• Just join Northern PAYG to get the £15 introductory travel credit
• They're currently looking for volunteers across the following routes:
  • Leeds to Harrogate (all stations in between)
  • Sheffield to Doncaster (all stations in between)
• You don't need to use all the credit in one go – eg. you could take the £1.80 Pannal to Weeton trip multiple times using your credit
• You'll need to download the relevant app – there's no code required for the Leeds to Harrogate one, but you'll need to use code NORTHERN25 for the Sheffield to Doncaster app
• The credit should be applied automatically on sign up
