£5 voucher when you recycle at H&M

The H&M Garment Collecting programme is an initiative to prevent customers' unwanted clothes from going to landfill. It's open to H&M members, and you can get a free £5 voucher in exchange for your old clothing.

How to get your £5 H&M voucher:

• Click on the green button below
• Find your nearest store
• Take a bag of any brand/condition clothes to any store and hand in at the cash desk
• Receive a £5 voucher via the app to use on your next in-store/online purchase of £25+, plus 20 points!
• Only one voucher can be used per transaction, and it can't be combined with other discount vouchers

You can do this up to six times per month. The vouchers will expire at some point though, so keep an eye on them!

Where do H&M clothes go after I donate them?

Approximately 65% of the clothes are resold as second-hand, 23% will be repurposed (think cleaning clothes, insulation, etc.), and the rest are recycled into new textiles or are disposed of. They are sorted in multiple countries.

You'll get £5 off when you spend £25+, and you're only able to utilise one voucher per transaction. This offer can't be combined with any other discounts (unfortunately), and it looks like some items are excluded. To redeem, you must use the H&M app or scan at checkout.

What can you recycle at H&M?

Any brand of clothes is accepted - it doesn't have to be H&M! They'll accept any condition of clothes (even damaged), including socks, underwear, bedding, towels and fabric scraps.
