Living and renting in Swansea
Average rent for student accommodation
One of the hardest parts of finding suitable student accommodation in Swansea can be planning your budget. Your weekly rent will vary depending on where you want to live and what sort of property you’re hoping for, but the following rates are a good guide:
- North Hill: £60.00-£80.00
- May Hill: £70.00-£90.00
- Mount Pleasant: £70.00-£90.00
You’ll also need to give some consideration to letting agency fees and a deposit, as well as utility bills.
The most popular student areas
The majority of student accommodation in Swansea is centred around a fairly compact area. Most properties are within walking distance of the university, though local bus services tend to be reliable if you’re in the mood for an extra half an hour in bed.
