If you are not aware of Microsoft as a company then you must have been hiding under a rock for the whole of your life.

Working at Microsoft

There are endless possibilities. For Microsoft’s award winning graduate scheme we are looking for really motivated and keen graduates who want to take their career to the next level. People who want to get running from the start and achieve outcomes to the highest level need to apply. You will need to have an interest in Microsoft products such as Windows Phone 7 and Xbox 360. All degree subjects are accepted but you must show an inventive attitude.

Graduates

The Microsoft Academy for College Hires (or MACH) scheme, is a special two year training course that is there to help students make the best transition from university to working life that they can.

You will be working on important projects from the first day at work but you will still gain the support that you need coupled with top class teaching to help you excel in certain areas in sales or technology. You will be learning from senior colleagues as well as graduates across the globe.

Undergraduate Placements

The Microsoft internship scheme is based in Reading, London or Edinburgh. The scheme starts in July and you will be with the team for a year. It’s a great way to get yourself noticed for the graduate scheme. You will have contact with senior professionals and be able to learn a large amount in the space of a year.

You could be working for the year in a number of areas such as: Account Management, Business Operations, Development, HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Technical Consulting or Technical Product Support. No matter what sector you join or where you are located you will be given great support from the first week and if you make a good impression then you may be fast tracked onto the graduate scheme.

When applying just remember that it is best to be true to yourself and be confident to voice your opinions. Microsoft support diversity across their business and you could fit in perfectly.
