Students lap-dancing to fund university education
Earlier this month The Guardian published an article on how some female students in the UK are turning to late-night jobs to tackle their student debt. They reported that students could earn as much as £300 a night, that's close to being equivalent to a month's rent for student housing.
As tuition fees continue to rise it seems like this trend would only be set to rise. Whether you approve or not of this way of students making (good) money, there is a bigger question about the safety of these young girls. It could be that tuition fees and crippling student debt could result in ratifications far beyond the financial realm.
