Jessica Murray, originally from the north east, studied English literature at Leeds University for three years, and spent an extra year there as the editor of the student newspaper.
At Save the Student she specialised in student news and money-saving guides, such as how to sell clothes online and going plastic-free on a budget. She also co-hosted our podcast, No More Beans.
Jessica wrote a lot about student housing issues after sharing her bedroom (and KitKats) with a mouse in final year.
She is best known for her extravagant fancy dress costumes and extensive knowledge of drinking games.
Jessica is now a journalist for the Guardian.
