Cheap drinks on your doorstep, and it's usually a good night and a good way to meet your new neighbours. I was at Whitworth Park last year, and you'll spend a lot of your first term in the Grovel but after Christmas things do slow down a lot, probably due to January exams. But yeah, you'll find out whether u like them or not soon enough!
