We are Supporting National Student Money Week

National Student Money WeekYou may or may not know that it's National Student Money Week next week (12th March – 16th March). As one of the leading forces in student money, here at Save the Student! we are supporting the money saving week wholeheartedly.

As a student, you should not have to worry about money problems or allow them to hinder your studies and this is why National Student Money Week has been created by NASMA.

What is National Student Money Week?

Supported by the National Association of Student Money Advisers (NASMA), National Student Money Week is a series of events and activities intended to raise awareness of the support services our students can access as well as promoting ways they can manage their money more effectively.

There are a number of sites and institutions involved in the week including the University of Birmingham, The University of Sheffield, The NUS & the Brightside Trust to name a few.

They key messages in this years money week are that continuing students should apply for funding as early as possible and a reminder of the danger of Payday loans (which is something that we strongly support here at Save the Student!)

How is Save the Student! getting involved?

We will be keeping you up to date with all the major happenings during National Student Money Week both on the website and through Facebook & Twitter, so make sure you like us on Facebook and Follow us on Twitter.

Live Facebook Student Money Q & A

Student MoneyWe will be hosting a live student money Q &A on the Save the Student! Facebook page from 12pm-1pm.

Anybody will be able to come and ask us a question and we will answer it for you. The idea is to get people more involved with their finances and find answers to questions that they are finding it hard to get.

Money Tip of the Day

Money TipWe will be keeping all of our followers updated with a National Student Money Week “Tip of the Day.” You can share your tips with us or get involved by liking our Tip of the Day.

Also, look out for any other promotional activities and check out the NASMA website for updates on all that is happening over National Student Money Week.

Overall, our involvement is to work alongside all of the top organisations and intitutions involved to help NASMA to create awareness about student money and student finance issues.
