We make buildings work. We engineer the air, light, sound and energy in buildings. We are proud of our legacy of important buildings and of relationships formed with leading architects and inspiring clients across most building sectors in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and the US.

What we do

Founded over 40 years ago, Max Fordham LLP is one of the UK’s leading firms of consulting building services and environmental engineers.  Our business is the creative, innovative and elegant design of buildings and their environs.  We have an unrivalled good reputation for engineering buildings that really work. The 2010 Building Good Employers’ Guide rated us the best engineering firm to work for.

What you could do

You could become a multidisciplinary engineer. You could learn to become an engineer who understands buildings in detail and at their highest level. You could learn to think about buildings in an integrated way – how to make them work better and use less energy. Integrated thinking will enable you to solve problems a less integrated approach might not even find. It’s an exciting and satisfying way to work.

Now what to do

If you have a science, engineering or mathematics background with a minimum grade of 2:1 or above, or equivalent, and you’re curious to push the boundaries of making buildings work better and use less energy, then you should get in touch with us.

We would like you to send us your CV, demonstrating high academic achievement, including grades, relevant experience and interests, as well as a chatty letter telling us why you would like to work for us.

Send your application preferably by email, to Emma Schofield at jobs@maxfordham.com, or by post to 42/43 Gloucester Crescent, NW1 7PE. You will also need to demonstrate that you are eligible to work in the UK.
