Aldi is one of the world’s largest retail chains, with more than 7,000 stores in Europe, North America and Australia. Since opening its first store in the UK in 1990, Aldi now has more than 400 stores throughout the UK and Ireland and continues to grow its UK presence. Subsequently, this creates positions for more and more graduates to join Aldi’s award-winning Area Management Programme.
The Area Management Programme is a one year intense training programme that leads to a position as an Aldi Area Manager, covering four to six stores. It focuses on areas of; Store Training, Regional Office Training, Logistics, Area Management Training, Financial Planning, Store Merchandising and Area Cover.
Aldi favours candidates that can bring a mix of skills to the table including leadership, self motivation and drive. Therefore, graduates who have captained a sports team, lead the debates team, held a part-time job throughout university or represented their classmates as a course representative will be looked upon more favourably.
Graduates need to be on course for a 2.1 degree classification and hold a full UK driving license. Although no set degree is required, candidates with a business background are preferred.
£40,000 rising to £62,000 after four years, fully expensed Audi A4, five weeks annual holiday, pension scheme, company healthcare, international secondment opportunities and opportunity for directorship within five years.
